  4. Welcome to Vivid Interactive and  MYSTIQUE OF THE ORIENT - PART 2!.
  5. Please note the following instructions and guidelines for installing and using
  6. MYSTIQUE OF THE ORIENT - PART 2 and VIRTUAL VIVID!

  10. INSTALLATION
  11. -------------

  13. These programs use Apple's Quicktime to play back the movies you will
  14. experience. We've included a folder called "Place in System" which
  15. contains Quicktime 1.6.1 (if you don't already have Quicktime available
  16. to your System) . Open the "Place in System" folder and drag the Quicktime
  17. icon into your closed System Folder. The files will automatically be
  18. placed into the proper locations (into your System "Extensions" folder).
  19. We recommend that you run System 7.0 or greater. Once you have placed
  20. Quicktime into your System Folder, copy the Icons "MYSTIQUE OF THE ORIENT -
  21. PART 2 & VIRTUAL VIVID!" onto your hard drive. Restart your computer and
  22. double click on the "MYSTIQUE OF THE ORIENT - PART 2 or VIRTUAL VIVID!"
  23. Icon to start The Program!

  25. Expect a ten to thirty second delay after starting The Program (depending
  26. on the speed of your computer). While playing The Program, expect a slight
  27. delay after mouse clicking a button.

  29. Check out VIRTUAL VIVID... VIRTUAL VIVID is an exploration into the many Worlds
  30. available to you from Vivid Interactive!  Thank you for choosing Vivid Interactive!

  33. We recommend the following for best performance:

  35. --     Disable any screen savers you may have running.
  36. --     Use System 7.0 or later, may run with Systems below 
  37.             System 7, but is not recommended.
  38. --     Use Quicktime 1.6.1
  39. --     Use Sound Manager 3.0
  40. --     4 Megabytes of FREE RAM (We've included many sound and movie
  41.             files which perform best with more FREE RAM.
  42. --    Macintosh LC or greater.
  43. --    68030 CPU or greater, may run with 68020, but is not recommended.
  44. --    13" Color Monitor with atleast 256 colors.
  45. --    Double Speed CD-ROM Drive.

  48. Additional Comments:

  50. These programs run in 8 bit, 16 bit, or 24 bit color. To play these programs
  51. in other than 256 colors (8 bit), simply adjust your Monitor settings to either 
  52. Thousands or Millions of colors (Read your Apple User Manual for instructions
  53. on adjusting your Monitor "Color" settings). Keep in mind, you may require an
  54. additional Video Card or VRAM to facilitate playback at these higher color settings.
